Three Indie Chart hit albums and eight hit Indie singles don’t really tell the full story of this seminal band. Led by vocalist Gene October Chelsea were one of the founding fathers of the whole UK Punk movement and over the years they given the scene some of it’s finest moments – “Right To Work”, “High Rise Living”, “Urban Kids”, “I’m On Fire”, “Evacuate”, “War Across The Nation” – if Gene had been able to keep a steady line up then Chelsea would have been up there with the biggest of Punk’s names. Nonetheless they have a fine catalogue of classics to bash the critics on the head with and luckily for us we’ve put nearly all of them out!
