The Captains Corner

THE CAPTAINS CORNER

And at long last an update from The Captain!

Please accept our apologies for taking so long to update The Captains Corner. We’ve had a ‘bit of a year’ down at Oi! HQ and could bore you to tears with all the negative things that have gone on. Still, negatives into positives has always been our motto so hey ho lets’ go!

Right, new release wise since the last update, the COCK SPARRER albums “GUILTY AS CHARGED 2009” (AHOY CD / PD 306) and “TWO MONKEYS 2009” (AHOY CD / PD 307) are both now freely available on CD and FULL COLOUR PICTURE DISC VINYL. The band have quite a few dates lined up over the next 12 months including

Nov 13th / 14th             USA, San Francisco, The Great American Music Hall

Nov 21st                      Holland, Amsterdam,, Melkweg

Our good friends in America, PIRTAES PRESS RECORDS, who did such a fantastic job on the USA version of “Here We Stand”, will be reissuing on VINYL all of the bands albums in early 2010 and will be doing a special European pressing just for us at Captain Oi! which will be available from the website as soon as we get them!

One other recent new release on Captain Oi! has been EDDIE & THE HOT RODS “THE SINGLES COLLECTION” (AHOY CD 308), a fifteen track round up of all of the bands singles for Island  and EMI between 1976-1980.
